Man Charged With Rape, Incest of Child

A Washington area man is charged with rape, sodomy and incest charges now that a victim has come forward.

Robert W. Whitaker, 50, is charged in Franklin County Associate Circuit Court with four counts of statutory rape of a child under the age of 14, one count of sodomy and one count of incest.

Franklin County Prosecuting Attorney Bob Parks said there was one victim and incidents occurred at a home outside of Washington between March 2010 and March 2011.

Whitaker is being held in the Franklin County Jail on a cash-only $75,000 bond, authorities said.
