A 30-year-old Warrenton woman died from injuries sustained in the two-vehicle accident on Monday afternoon. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Alanna P. Gierer was driving a 2001 Saturn eastbound on the North Service Road when her vehicle collided head-on with a 2001 Honda Accord that had been traveling on Interstate 70. Gierer was airlifted to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur and pronounced dead at 5:27 p.m. The accident occurred around the 187-mile marker around 3:20 p.m.
