Registered Sex Offender Facing New Felony Charges

A 27-year-old Wright City man is facing felony charges in Warren and St. Charles counties for failing to provide updated information on his employment status and for an alleged sexual encounter with a 16-year-old girl.

Benjamin W. Kinkade, 15036 Mattox Lane, is a listed on the Missouri Highway Patrol’s Sex Offender Registry.

According to a probable cause statement, Kinkade last registered with the Warren County Sheriff’s Department Dec. 21, stating that he was employed at a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant in Wentzville at 718 West Pearce Blvd.

Further investigation revealed that Kinkade was employed by Hecht’s Management which owns several Kentucky Fried Chicken locations, authorities allege.

However, it was learned from Hecht’s Management that Kinkade’s employment with the company was terminated Dec. 29.

As of Jan. 16, Kinkade had not updated his employment status with the sheriff’s department.

Kinkade pleaded guilty to first-degree statutory rape in November 2005 in Lincoln County Circuit Court in a case involving a 12-year-old female.Kincade also is facing a St. Charles County charge of second-degree statutory rape, according to a probable cause statement obtained by The Record.

According to a complaint filed by the St. Charles County Sheriff’s Department, Kinkade allegedly went to the home of a 16-year-old female in the 4000 block of Mary Ridge in St. Charles during the morning of Jan. 14.

Kinkade and the victim entered the teenager’s bedroom and allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse, authorities charge.After being advised of his Miranda rights, Kinkade confessed to the offense, according to the probable cause statement.

Authorities also stated that Kinkade fled the state on a previous occasion with the victim to Iowa and Nebraska.

Kinkade and the teenager returned to Missouri after running out of money, authorities stated.
