The Franklin County Fair in Union will begin Thursday, July 5. The following is a list of scheduled events.

Thursday, July 5:

7 a.m. - rabbit, poultry and goats check-in.

8 - 10 a.m. - FFA farm mechanic check-in.

9 a.m. - 4-H and FFA sheep show.

10 a.m. - 4-H and FFA goat show.

11 a.m. - 4-H and FFA - rabbit show.

2 p.m. - poultry.

3 p.m. - gates open.

4 p.m. - concessions and beer garden opens.

5 p.m. - pedal tractor pull registration.

5:30 p.m. - 16 and under garden tractor pull.

6 p.m. - Fair Queen contest (family pavilion).

6 p.m. - pedal tractor pull.

6 p.m. -10:30 p.m. - carnival rides open.

6 p.m. - antique tractor pull.

7 p.m. - money and candy scramble (family pavilion).

7 p.m. - pig scramble.

11:00 p.m. - grounds close.

Friday, July 6:

8 - 9:30 a.m. -  beef, bucket calf, dairy cattle, swinte check-in.

10 a.m. - 4-H and FFA swine show.

Noon - gates open.

1 p.m. - concessions and beer gardens open.

1:30 - 4:30 p.m. - carnival rides open.

2 p.m. - 4-H and FFA bucket calf show.

3 p.m. - 4-H and FFA beef show.

4 p.m. - bubble gum contest (family pavilion).

4 p.m. - Family Martial Arts Fitness Academy (family pavilion).

5 p.m. - field tractor pull begins.

5 p.m. - Skaterz (family pavilion).

6 - 7 p.m. - LollyPop balloon sculptures (family pavilion).

6 - 11:30 p.m.- carnival rides open.

7 p.m. - tractor pull begins.

8 - 11:30 p.m. - music in the beer garden by Loose Change.

Midnight - fairgrounds close.

Saturday, July 7:

9 a.m. - 4-H dog show.

11 a.m. - 4-H archery contest.

Noon - gates open.

1 p.m. - concessions and beer gardens open.

1 p.m. - Kids in Motion demonstration (family pavilion).

1:30 - 4:30 p.m. - carnival rides open.

2 p.m. - egg drop contest (family pavilion).

3 p.m. - Ronald McDonald (family pavilion).

3 - 4 p.m. - super farmer contest registration.

3:30  - 7: p.m. - LollyPop balloon sculptures (family pavilion).

4 p.m. - super farmer contest begins.

4:15 p.m. - Little Mr. and Miss contest registration.

5 - 7 p.m. - 4-H and FFA payout.

5 p.m. - Little Mr. and Miss contest.

5 p.m. - bull ride.

6 - 11:30 p.m. - carnival rides open.

7- 11:30 p.m. - music in the beer garden by Chapter 11.

8:30 p.m. - live on the main stage Hotel California.

Midnight - grounds close.

Sunday, July 8:

Noon - gates open.

12:30 p.m. - bike race registration.

12:30 p.m. - lawn mower derby begins.

1 p.m. - concessions and beer garden opens.

1 - 3 p.m. - bike races (ages 5-8 and ages 8-11).

1:30 - 4:30 p.m. carnival rides open.

2:30 p.m. - mini truck derby begins.

4 p.m. - money scramble (ages 5-8).

4 - 6 p.m. - 4-H exhibit.

4 - 6 p.m. - 4-H and FFA premium payout.

4:15 p.m. - baby contest registration (family pavilion).

5 p.m. - baby contest (family pavilion).

5 p.m. - demolition derby begins.

6 - 9:30 p.m. - carnival rides open.

10 p.m. grounds close.
