A ceremony was held Sunday, Aug. 12, to dedicate the new Union Baptist Temple building the “Dene Weideman Fellowship Hall.”

Weideman, of Union, has worked closely with area Baptist churches for several years.

During the service, Ricky Moon, vice president of the Shawnee Baptist College, issued a challenge to use the new building to further the “Kingdom of Jesus Christ.”

Union Baptist Temple Pastor Phillip Hudson also spoke and recognized Weideman for her service.

A trio named Redeemed from Shawnee Baptist College performed during the service.

Weideman was presented with a new computer at the closing of the service.
