Two Motorcycles Collide; Man Seriously Injured
A Crawford County man was seriously injured Saturday, Dec. 1, when two motorcycles collided on a Franklin County Road southwest of Union.
The Missouri Highway Patrol said the 6:10 p.m. crash happened on Camp MoVal Road north of Route UU.
The handlebars of a southbound 2004 Honda driven by Gary L. Reithemeyer, 27, Cuba, and a northbound 2007 Kawaski driven by Jacob T. Lantrip, 16, Union, struck each other, according to the preliminary patrol report.
Both drivers were ejected, the patrol said.
Reithemeyer was transported by air ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis with serious injuries, the patrol said.
The patrol report indicated that Lantrip was not injured.
The crash happened two-tenths of a mile north of Route UU, the patrol said.
