A Beaufort man who allegedly crashed into three cars Sunday afternoon while allegedly driving while intoxicated is facing four felony assault charges.
Gary S. Holmes, 49, Beaufort, is charged in Franklin County Associate Circuit Court with four counts of assault for driving while intoxicated and causing crashes that resulted in an injury, according to the Franklin County Associate Circuit Court.
Holmes also is charged with misdemeanors of failure to maintain financial responsibility and displaying plates from a different vehicle, according to court records. Prosecutors requested a $150,000 bond.
Union police said Holmes caused crashes on Highway 50 at Hoover Avenue, Highway 47 north, and Prairie Dell Road just after noon Sunday before he was located by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on the ramp from Highway 50 to Interstate 44.
