Union Police Issue Warning After Theft

Police said he was reviewing his bank statement and found three unauthorized purchases from a commuter air service in Mexico. The transactions totaled $682.88.

The man called his bank and was reimbursed for the charges, but later found that there was an additional unauthorized debit of $163.68 from an online shopping service.

Each of the withdrawals were made from the man’s checking account using the man’s debit card information, police said.

Police said the thefts were likely committed by someone outside of the area.

Residents are asked to watch their statements and to be cautious when giving out personal or credit card information.
