Rush Hour Traffic Crash

There were no serious injuries reported in this crash on Highway 47 at Highway V Thursday at 7:40 a.m. According to Union police, a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier driven northbound by Kasey K. Krekel, 21, of Union, struck the rear of a Chevrolet Malibu driven northbound by Dianne J. Czarnecki, 64, of Bonne Terre. The Czarnecki vehicle was pushed into a 1996 Mazda 626 driven northbound by Kayla M. Chick, 20, of St. Clair. The Krekel vehicle also swerved into the oncoming traffic and struck a 1994 Toyota Camry driven by, Elicia L. Herrington, 45, of Washington. Union police said no drivers nor passengers were taken to the hospital by ambulance.
