Two Lewis and Clark replica boats were docked at the Washington Riverfront Monday, Aug. 20. The boats arrived at about 3 p.m. The crew began a trip north on the river from the Lewis and Clark Boat House and Nature Center in St. Charles and are heading toward Plattsmouth, Neb. After Labor day, the crew will head downstream, stopping in various communities to perform living history presentations. The group hopes to stop in Washington to offer stations in various activities like rope making, military uniforms, medicine, fire making, weapons and more.
