Due to a larger than anticipated turnout at local Ameren Missouri public hearings, the location of the Wednesday night hearing in Union has been moved.

The hearing will be held Wednesday, Aug. 22, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the auditorium at East Central College in Union, 1964 Prairie Dell Road. The hearing originally was scheduled to be held in a classroom on the campus.

The meeting is a public comment hearing before the public service commission to discuss a proposed billing increase to customers. The increase would average about $14 per month for residential customers.

Those unable to attend who wish to make a written comment or for more information may contact The Office of the Public Counsel, P.O. Box 2230, Jefferson City, MO 65102, email opcservice@ded.mo.gov, or by phone at 573-571-4857; or the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, MO 65102, email pscinfo@psc.mo.gov, or call 800-392-4211.

For more information, people may call the Public Service Commission Hotline, 800-392-4211.
