UPDATE: Law enforcement officers captured murder suspect Michael C. Murphy shortly before 10:30 a.m. Friday following an extensive search of the Lake St. Clair subdivision.
More than 100 officers were called out to sweep the subdivision after Murphy's son reported Thursday night that the suspect had come to his home and asked for a ride. The son refused to aid the man.
