A voter completes the two-step, electronic check in process with poll workers at Washington City Hall around 7 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6. Poll workers used iPads to verify registered Franklin Country voters. An ID card sent by the office of the county clerk featured a bar code containing voter information. The bar code was scanned using a special feature on the Apple tablet. All voters, including those without a card issued by the county clerk, signed the iPad screen before receiving a ballot.
