New Haven Man Charged With Armed Robbery
An 18-year-old New Haven has been charged with armed robbery after he allegedly held a clerk at gun point and demanded cash from a Fidelity office.
Oscar Rivera was arrested Saturday. He is being held at the Franklin County jail on a $50,000 cash-only bond, according to New Haven police.
Authorities allege that Rivera went into the Circle Drive business at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 20, pulled a handgun, aimed it at the clerk and demanded money.
He was given cash then left the office and fled on foot.
New Haven police said charges are being sought against an accomplice.
