A Villa Ridge man who was rescued from the Bourbeuse River last week died Friday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Joshua B. Storie, 32, was waist deep in the river Tuesday, June 25, at 1:52 p.m. when he "slipped" into swift water.
Rescuers pulled Storie from the river and he was transported to Mercy Hospital Washington. He was pronounced dead at 11:05 a.m. Friday.
Storie was a non-swimmer, the patrol said.
