Darrell Peck, 50, Sullivan, was indicted for allegedly possessing child pornography in February 2010 in Franklin County, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

Peck was indicted by a federal grand jury Wednesday, Oct. 3 on two felony counts of possession of child pornography. He was arrested Wednesday, Oct. 10, and is expected to appear in federal court Wednesday afternoon.

Each count Peck faces carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and fines up to $250,000.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office and the FBI both investigated the case.

Assistant United States Attorney Reginald Harris is handling the case for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the DOJ reported.

"As is always the case, charges set forth in an indictment are merely accusations and do not constitute proof of guilt," the DOJ release said. "Every defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty."
