Benefit Car Show for Family of Jeffrey White Jr.
A car show to benefit the family of Spc. Jeffrey L. White Jr. will be held Saturday, April 28, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Queen’s IGA, 2244 W. Osage, Pacific.
Rust to Riches Restoration co-owner and car show organizer Andy Sucher said the White family has not yet decided what proceeds from the show will be used for.
Sucher, a 2008 Pacific High School graduate and classmate of White’s, said holding the benefit is about more than just helping the family.
“He was more than just a fallen soldier, he was a friend,” Sucher said. “It’s pretty much all we know how to do — help out and honor our service members.”
Items for the car show have been donated by the city of Pacific and Zerna’s Meat Market.
There will be no registration fee for those wishing to participate in the car show, but donations for the family are encouraged.
Other events will include children’s activities and a 50/50 raffle.
Barbecue and soda will be for sale.
For more information or for businesses interested in donating items for the car show, people may call Sucher at 636-744-4409 and leave a message.
