A 19-year-old Union man is charged with felony burglary after he allegedly broke into several vehicles and attempted to use a stolen credit card.

Michael D. Tauchert is charged in Franklin County Associate Circuit Court with first-degree felony burglary. Prosecutors requested a $10,000 bond.

Police said Tauchert broke into multiple cars and took cash from several vehicles, and a credit card from at least one vehicle earlier this month.

He was arrested at the Union Wal-Mart while trying to use one victim’s credit card, according to Union police.

An accomplice, Brenda S. Harris, 44, Union, is charged in Franklin County Associate Circuit Court with receiving stolen property, also a felony.

Police said Harris drove Tauchert to Wal-Mart where he used the stolen credit card, and drove him to and from the scene of the burglaries.

Harris has several other pending felony charges for theft and passing bad checks, according to court records.
