Deputies Seeking Clearview Road Home Intruder
Franklin County authorities are looking for an intruder who entered a Clearview Road home early Monday morning.
Franklin County Sheriff Gary Toelke said a woman was watching television in the home at 12:06 a.m. when she heard a screen door to the garage of the home open. She then saw a tall man with dark hair looking around a corner from the kitchen.
The woman screamed for her husband and the suspect fled on foot from the home.
Deputies searched the area but were unable to locate the man or a vehicle. There were muddy tracks around the residence and on the driveway to the home, Toelke said.
The tracks indicated that the subject ran from the driveway of the home toward Clearview Road and then toward Highway 47.
Anyone who saw a man who fits that description who may have been in the area at that time, or anyone who saw any unusual activity near the 1000 block of Clearview Road between Highway A and Highway 47, is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 636-583-2560.
