St. Louis-Area Restaurant Owner Alleges Kidnapping

MANCHESTER, Mo. (AP) — Police in the St. Louis suburb of Manchester are investigating the alleged abduction and robbery of the owner of a popular restaurant.
Uncle Bill's Pancake & Dinner House co-owner Richard Lee told authorities he was about to count weekend earnings Sunday when two men grabbed him and sprayed pepper spray in his face. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/PmoShq ) reports the 75-year-old victim was then forced to drive into the city of St. Louis, where his wallet with about $5,000 in cash was taken.
Lee found a woman walking in the area and used her cell phone to call his wife and police.
No arrests have been made.
