Thieves Steal Christmas Toys from Mo. Charity

LEBANON, Mo. (AP) — Police in a small southwest Missouri town are looking for thieves who broke into a charity and stole Christmas toys meant for needy children.
The thieves got away last week with thousands of dollars in toys from the Lebanon Free Store.
The store gives away free merchandise every day. But volunteers stash away some special items throughout the year for Christmas gifts.
KYTV reports ( http://bit.ly/Rst5Rh ) about 200 people come to the store every day for basic necessities. But about 2,000 families often show up for the Christmas toy giveaway. Volunteers will try to refill the Christmas stash by Christmas.
Lebanon police continue to investigate the theft.
