Schatz Leads in Campaign Money With $570,470

State Rep. Dave Schatz, R-Sullivan, leads the pack when it comes to the amount of money raised by local area candidates seeking seats in the state Legislature.

Schatz had more than $570,000 in money on hand at the close of the quarterly reporting period March 31, according to his latest campaign finance report filed with the Missouri Ethics Commission.

Schatz’s report states that he has made loans to his own campaign of $370,000.

Schatz is seeking the District 26 State Senate seat currently held by Washington Republican Brian Nieves.

Nieves withdrew from his re-election bid in March.

The primary election is Aug. 5, and the general election is Nov. 4.

Below is a list of candidates running for seats in the state House and Senate and highlights from their quarterly reports. The reports are for the period from Jan. 1 to March 31.
