University City Girl Dies in Drive-By Shooting Associated Press |

UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. (AP) — Police in the St. Louis suburb of University City are searching for the gunmen who shot and killed a teenage girl as she was sitting on her front porch.

KSDK-TV (http://on.ksdk.com/NhoEmt ) reports that police on Friday identified the victim as 17-year-old Destinee Clemons. A second teen was injured, but her name and condition have not been released.

The drive-by shooting happened Thursday night. Police say the girls apparently did not know the shooters.

Witnesses told police that four men in a compact car drove by and one of them opened fire on the house. The motive is not known.
