CHESTERFIELD, Mo. (AP) — Police in the St. Louis suburb of Chesterfield say the call was an unusual one — a homeowner calling police to report an assault. On a snowman.

KMOV-TV (http://bit.ly/XkAbIn ) reports that police were called to a home in a wealthy neighborhood of Chesterfield. The homeowner said someone knocked over a snowman.

The officer told the homeowner it didn't really merit a police report, noting the snowman would melt soon anyway. But the homeowner insisted on a report, claiming the clothing on the snowman was damaged when it was tipped over.
