Lane Closures on Highway 47 North of St. Clair Begins April 30
The Missouri Department of Transportation stated on Friday that beginning on Monday, April 30, a section of northbound Highway 47 on the north side of St. Clair will be shut down during nonpeak hours.
Kara Price, MoDOT’s senior customer relations specialist for the St. Louis region, told The Missourian that the closures are expected to take place during nonpeak hours from about 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays through May, weather permitting.
The closures are in conjunction with the Interstate 44 North Outer Road relocation project.
Price said MoDOT will close the right lane on northbound Highway 47 from Interstate 44 to Miller Drive.
MoDOT is relocating the North Outer Road away from the interchange to improve intersection spacing. MoDOT will also signalize Highway 47 intersections with the eastbound and westbound I-44 ramps and the relocated North Outer Road.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
