Authorities have charged a Franklin County man accused of firing a weapon into a residence and a vehicle.

The incident occurred about 5 p.m. Sunday, May 20, at a home in the 1000 block of Highway K, outside the St. Clair city limits.

Jordan D. Johnson-Tabb, 19, is charged with one count of unlawful use of a weapon in connection with the shooting. A $25,000 cash-only bond was set in the case.

Franklin County deputies and Missouri Highway Patrol troopers responded to the report and learned that several shots had been fired into the residence, occupied by a man, a woman and a 9-year-old child.

One of the occupants sustained minor injuries from what was believed to be one of the rounds, the sheriff’s office said.

The victims told deputies they were familiar with two female suspects who were in the vehicle and that earlier Sunday they had been involved in a possible road rage incident.

Investigators began searching for the suspects’ vehicle and a short time later stopped a car near the Highway 30/Route K intersection. Inside the car, they found a .22 caliber shell casing which matched with evidence found at the scene of the shooting.

A .22 caliber handgun later was found hidden in a local cemetery, the sheriff’s office said.

Later, deputies arrested Johnson-Tabb at a residence in St. Clair, according to the report.

A 19-year-old Union woman also was arrested but her name was not released because she had not been charged in the incident, the sheriff’s office reported.
