Four St. Clair businesses and two residences are scheduled to be without water on Thursday morning as work progresses on the Interstate 44 North Service Road construction project on the city's north side.

City Administrator Rick Childers told The Missourian late Tuesday that Taco Bell, the Fast Lane service station, Burger King and Los Cabos restaurant as well as two homes in that area are scheduled to be without water from about 7 a.m. until noon on Thursday.

At that time, crews are expected to work on installing a new water line and connecting the affected buildings to it.

"It (timing) depends somewhat on how the rock-breaking goes to get the line ready to go in," Childers said on Tuesday.

The North Service Road relocation project is realigning that road and creating a new intersection with Highway 47 at Angels Crossing Drive. Road improvements also are being made where the off and on ramps to Interstate 44 connect to Highway 47.
