Woman Injured in Highway FF Crash
A Ridgewoods woman was transported by air ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis Wednesday afternoon after suffering serious injuries in a one-vehicle accident on Highway FF near Project Road.
The Missouri Highway Patrol stated in its online report that Christie M. Bean, 41, was involved in the 2:40 p.m. crash on Highway FF south of Lonedell School and about one-tenth of a mile north of Project Road. Bean was the only person in the 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan at the time of the accident.
The patrol stated she was northbound on Highway FF at a high rate of speed when for unknown reasons she lost control of the minivan while trying to negotiate a curve. The vehicle traveled off the west side of the road, slammed into a ditch and overturned. She was not wearing a safety belt.
