The city of Pacific swimming pool will open Saturday, May 26, for the season and remain open through Monday, Sept. 3.

The Wildwood Family YMCA will again manage the pool and offer swim instruction.

Season pool passes are available through city hall. Daily admission is $3 for adults and $2 for kids 12 and under. The pool is available for rent before and after operating hours. Reservations can be made with the Wildwood Family YMCA at 636-458-6636, extension 245.

Several YMCA swim lessons will be offered. They include:

Skip — water orientation class for ages 6-36 months with parent. These classes will take place on Fridays from 10:30 to 11 a.m. from June 15 through July 27. The fee for seven weeks, one time a week, is $60 for non-YMCA members, and $35 for YMCA members.

Pre-Pike — for ages 20-36 months who are ready to progress from Skip, with parent. Pre-Pike helps a child adjust to the water and become more independent in a class structure that is similar to Pike. Classes are held on Fridays 11:10 to 11:40 a.m. from June 15 through July 27. The fee for seven weeks, one time a week is $70 for non-YMCA members and $40 for members.

Swim to Suit — customized swim lessons made to fit a child’s needs for ages 3 and up. Instructors evaluate swimming levels the first day of class and teach all levels in two-week sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 to10:45 a.m.

Session dates are Session 1, June 12-June 21; Session 2, June 26-July 5; Session 3, July 10-July 19; Session 4, July 24-Aug. 2; and Session 5, Aug. 7-Aug. 16.

The fee for two weeks, three times a week is $60 for non-YMCA members and $35 for members.

Private and semiprivate instruction also are offered. Private lessons are 30 minutes each. Register with the private lesson form available at the Y, online at www.ymcastlouis.org/wildwood or mailed upon request.

The Wildwood Family YMCA is located at 2641 Highway 109, Wildwood, 63040. The phone number is 636-458-6636.
