The city has approved an agreement with the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) for improvements on Old Gray Summit Road from Highway N (Congress Street) to the city limits.

This is the second phase of Old Gray Summit Road improvements.

Total cost of the two projects is estimated at $826,488, which will be paid for with a federal Surface Transportation Projects (STP) grant in an 80-20 match. The city’s match on the two projects is $165,297.

The project will be bid in April 2013 and construction will be completed by October 2014.

Improvements include pavement widening with asphalt resurfacing, sidewalks, paved approaches, storm sewer, retaining wall, curb, striping and Share the Road signs.
