U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer, R-Mo.

U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer, R-Mo, has filed quarterly campaign finance reports for April with the Federal Election Commission.

The Blaine for Congress committee report showed that he had about $809,000 of cash on hand at the beginning of the reporting period Jan. 1, and he had $901,460 on hand at the end of the period March 31.

He had about $45,200 in operating expenditures for the quarter and received $137,900 in contributions.

A report for another committee called Blaine for Congress 2008 shows a debt/loan of $1.05 million. That loan is Luetkemeyer’s own money that he gave for the 2008 campaign, said his spokesman Paul Sloca.

Luetkemeyer of St. Elizabeth is up for re-election this year for the 3rd District congressional seat.

Other candidates to file for the office are three Republicans — John Morris, St. Peters; Joe Frost, Chesterfield; and Leonard Steinman, Jefferson City; and two Democrats — Velma Steinman, Jefferson City; and Courtney Denton, Arnold.

No campaign finance records for those candidates were found on the Federal Election Commission’s website.
