ITHACA, Mich. (AP) — Police say a man got stuck in the ductwork while trying to rob a mid-Michigan supermarket over the weekend.
Jeremy A. Garza was arraigned Tuesday in Gratiot County District Court on a charge of breaking and entering with intent to commit larceny.
Authorities say the 27-year-old Garza got stuck in the Alma supermarket's ductwork Saturday night/early Sunday.
He was placed on a $250,000 bond.
Gratiot County Prosecutor Keith Kushion says Family Fare supermarket employees heard banging before someone yelled out: "I am stuck."
The Morning Sun of Mount Pleasant reports (http://tinyurl.com/7m53yfy) the fire department was called to free Garza from the ductwork.
According to Kushion, Garza said he climbed up to "see the view and fell into the vent."
