A new concert series featuring acoustic, singer-songwriter, bluegrass, old-time and folk music will hold its first event in Downtown Washington this Saturday.
The Listening Room Concert Series at Main Events, 110 Main St., Washington, is located in the space formerly occupied by Mann- Well’s Coffee Alley.
The venue seats 100 people for an intimate setting allowing the audience to actually listen and experience the music/performer up close without bar background noise. The series will host local and regional performers.
All Friday/Saturday shows will be from 8 to 10 p.m. Sunday and weekday shows will start at 7 p.m.
Beer, wine and water will be available, and donations will be accepted for the beverages.
The inaugural show scheduled for Saturday, April 26, will feature a solo performance by Gloria Attoun in celebration of Earth Day. Doors will open at 7:15 p.m. and the show will begin at 8 p.m.
