Two Killed in Collision South of Beaufort

Two people died Wednesday afternoon following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 185 south of Beaufort.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol's report, Ryan D. Gable, 32, was killed when the 1991 GMC Sonoma he was driving collided with a 2005 Pontiac G6 driven by Elizabeth K. Tuschhoff, 42, of Leslie. The 4 p.m. crash occurred about 3.3 miles south of Highway 50, according to the preliminary patrol report.

Neither driver was wearing a safety belt, the patrol stated.

The report stated that Tuschhoff was northbound and crossed over the centerline. Her car struck Gable's truck head-on.

According to the patrol's report, Gable died at the scene. Tuschhoff, who suffered serious injuries, was flown by air ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis where she was pronounced dead later, the patrol said.
