Rape, Child Molestation Trial Expected to Go to Jury Today
By Ed Pruneau, Missourian Managing Editor

A criminal trial is under way in the case of a man charged in a child molestation case.
A jury selected Thursday morning began hearing testimony in the trial of Michael B. Falkin, 47, formerly of Franklin County.
Prosecuting Attorney Bob Parks said he expected the trial to be concluded Friday.
Falkin was charged in 2009 with two counts of child molestation and one count each of statutory sodomy and statutory rape. Authorities allege that Falkin performed the sexual acts with a girl under the age of 12 between Jan. 1, 2005, and Dec. 26, 2008.
