A Franklin County man who was riding a motorcycle on Highway A was seriously injured Sunday, July 1, when he was struck by a car, the Missouri Highway Patrol reported.

The 1:20 p.m. crash happened at Clearview Road, the patrol said.

Ralph H. Feth, 47, Leslie, was driving a 1984 Harley-Davidson on Highway A, when his vehicle was struck by a 2001 Lincoln driven by Kenneth P. Messex, 53, Washington, according to the preliminary patrol report.

The patrol said Messex was westbound on Clearview Road and made a left turn onto Highway A and failed to yield to the Feth motorcycle.

Feth, who was ejected, was transported by air ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis, Creve Coeur, for examination and treatment.
