Sen. Claire McCaskill, right, chose Washington as a site for filming commercials Thursday afternoon and evening. She also did some campaigning, such as shown here at Joe’s Bakery and Deli on Main Street. She said she wanted to do the filming here because Washington represents among the best of smaller towns in the state. Members of her family accompanied her and area Democrats and other citizens greeted her after seeing the filming commotion on Main and Jefferson streets. The filming took about four hours. Sen. McCaskill is seeking re-election to a second term.
