One newcomer and an incumbent were elected to the New Haven School Board in Tuesday’s election.

Diane White, incumbent board member, received 154 votes or 44.64 percent, while newcomer James Eggers got 134 votes or 38.84 percent.

There were 57 votes cast, or 16.52 percent, for the other candidate, Daniel Long. There were no write-in votes.

A total of 345 ballots were cast in the school board election. The candidates were elected to serve one three-year term each.
