Friends can help start relationships with great people in life including boyfriends, girlfriends and future best friends - which can help through troublesome times or just help get through the day.
With Valentine's Day on Monday, these three teen couples shared their love stories.
Hallie Overschmidt and her boyfriend Caleb Summers, both 10th-grade students at Washington High School, met through a mutual friend, Luke Schroepfer, also a sophomore, which got Summers and Overschmidt talking.
As of today it has been about four months and two weeks since they first started dating.
Overschmidt said that her favorite part of being together is, "I can tell him anything and I know he's going to give me the right advice and always be there for me. He's someone I know I can trust, and makes me so happy."
She and Summers do not have plans for Valentine's Day yet.
Zack Glen Woosley, sophomore at WHS, and his girlfriend Catherine Bonnarens, a freshman, also had friends to set them up and have been dating for about two weeks.
They share interests in football and fishing. Both like to talk and hang out together.
Bonnarens said they haven't gone on a date yet, but for Valentine's Day they will.
"On Friday we will be going to Washington High School's Courtwarming and we might go to the movies this weekend," she said.
Megan Waterhouse, sophomore, and her boyfriend Dylan Becker, a freshman at Marquette High School, met through Waterhouse's cousin who is friends with Becker. They started dating after talking on the phone with each other.
The couple has been dating for 11 months. They enjoy listening to music, playing Pokemon and relaxing. For their dates they enjoy going to the movies or dining at some of their favorite restaurants.
Waterhouse's favorite part about being with Becker is how happy and uplifting he always is and how he can always make her laugh and smile, she said, adding that his family is always fun to be around.
"The way we stay together is simple, we are in love and we are best friends and would do anything for each other," Waterhouse said. "We trust each other because we have been through so much. It's hard to think of life without him."
This Valentine's Day the two will have a nice dinner and tell each other how much they appreciate having each other - and of course, love each other, just like any other day.
