Artisan Spirits LLC, doing business as Pinckney Bend Distillery, Missouri’s newest craft distillery, has appointed St. Louis-based A. Bommarito Wines to distribute its products in Missouri and 10 surrounding states in which A. Bommarito operates.

Pinckney Bend Distillery, located in New Haven, currently produces an award-winning gin product, with plans to introduce vodka early this summer.

“We are all about hand-crafted spirits produced in small batches with as much local content as possible,” said CEO Jerome Meyer.

“A. Bommarito is the perfect fit for us. We share the same values regarding business ethics, product quality and customer service,” Meyer said. “A. Bommarito has built a strong business and a sterling reputation representing small producers of the highest quality, and we are honored to have them as distribution partners.”

Tony Bommarito Jr., general manager of A. Bommarito Wines, is equally enthusiastic about the possibilities.

“Pinckney Bend is on a fast track,” Bommarito said. “Their gin product has been well received in the local market, and they have bested some distinguished national and international brands on the competition circuit. We will do well together.”

Pinckney Bend American Gin recently was awarded a gold medal at the prestigious San Francisco World Spirits Competition, which included 1,200 entrants from 65 countries.
