Mercy Announces New Optometrist
David Smith, OD, has joined Mercy Eye Care. He joins Dr. Susanne Kindel at the Mercy Medical Building North in Washington.
Dr. Smith specializes in adult and pediatric eye care, contact lenses and the treatment of ocular diseases like dry eyes, glaucoma and eye infections.
“I take great joy in helping my patients, adults and children, see the world more clearly,” said Dr. Smith. “By getting to know them and what they enjoy doing, I can recommend the treatment, glasses or contacts that will best fit their lifestyle.”
Dr. Smith received his optometric degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and completed internships at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, Indian Health Service in Alaska and St. Louis Veterans Administration Hospital. Dr. Smith welcomes new patients of all ages and same-day appointments are available.
Dr. Kindel received her Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Washington University in St. Louis. She earned her optometry degree from University of Missouri School of Optometry. Dr. Kindel specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease and contact lens evaluations and fittings.
Mercy Eye Care is open 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. during the week and from 9 to noon on Saturdays. The doctors are available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday. Services include eye exams, glasses and contacts and most insurance plans are accepted.
