Domino’s Pizza in Washington is gearing up to raise some “dough” for the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital during its 2012 Thanks and Giving campaign.

The Domino’s Pizza store located at 326 E. Fifth St. will join other Domino’s stores across the country in asking customers to donate a dollar or two to their orders to benefit the children of St. Jude. The campaign began Nov. 12 and runs through Jan. 1, 2013.

Nationwide, Domino’s Pizza has raised more than $601,000 for St. Judes Children’s Research.

This year for the St. Jude Thanks and Giving campaign, Domino’s Pizza will join other retail and corporate sponsors in an effort to ask shoppers to “Give thanks for the healthy kids in their lives, and give to those who are not.” Domino’s will help build awareness by putting the St. Jude logo on millions of pizza boxes.

Domino’s has raised more than $12 million since it began participating in the St. Jude Thanks and Giving campaign in 2005. Over the next three years, Domino’s Pizza’s goal is to raise $10 million for the thousands of lifesaving procedures that the Thanks and Giving campaign helps support at St. Jude.

“St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital delivers breakthrough discoveries that lead to lifesaving cures every day for children and their families across America and around the world,” said Nathan Colvin, general manager, and Lenny Naugle, owner of the Washington Domino’s Pizza store.

“Adding a dollar or two to an order is an easy way to support St. Jude in making miracles happen for hopeful children,” they said. “I hope that all of our customers will help the kids of St. Jude by adding just a little more to their pizza orders.”

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with cancer and other deadly diseases. Research breakthroughs at St. Jude are immediately and freely shared with the scientific community worldwide, impacting the lives of children in communities across America and around the globe.
