Benefit to Honor the Memory of Staff Sgt. Traxel
Honoring the Memory of Staff Sgt. Traxel
Union, MO. September 5, 2012, - As a public affairs broadcast specialist with the 70th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment with the Missouri National Guard out of Jefferson City, a benefit is planned to honor Staff Sgt. Traxel’s memory. Staff Sgt. Robert J. Traxel of Union passed away July 2, 2012 at the age of 34, during an accident while performing his annual duties in support of Beyond the Horizon Guatemala during a training exercise. He leaves behind a loving wife, Karen and four wonderful children.
The Traxel Family Benefit will be Tuesday, September 18th and Wednesday, September 19th, 2012 at The Pasta House in Union. Hours are from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. both days and 20% of all sales from Dining In or Carry-Out will be donated to the Traxel Family. Donations are also being accepted. This Benefit is in conjunction with Pasta House-Union New Owners’ 2nd Anniversary! Gift certificates and raffles will be drawn!
His wife and family appreciated all who paid their respects and lined the streets of Union during the funeral procession. This benefit is another way the community can help the family and keep his legacy alive.
Cash and check donations can be delivered anytime to the Pasta House-Union for the Traxel family. Checks can be made payable to: Traxel Childrens Memorial Fund.
Donations for raffle baskets are also being accepted. Please email us at unionpastahouse@yahoo.com for information or come in to the restaurant for details.
