A Washington man died in a crash Friday morning.
Michael V. Ley, 57, Washington, died when his 1998 Freightliner FL70 traveled off the road and struck a barn and a house, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol preliminary crash report.
The report states Ley was driving south on Highway 185 south of Liberty School Road at around 10:25 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24.
The truck traveled off the right side of the road, began to skid, returned to the road, and then traveled off the left side of the road.
The truck went up an embankment and struck a barn before striking a house. Ley was pronounced dead at the scene. The report state Ley was wearing a seat belt.
