The Washington Planning and Zoning Commission gave first round approval for a rezoning and preliminary plat Monday for an attached dwelling.
The commission voted 8-0 in favor of the request by Jack Hagedorn to rezone a two-family residence at 505 and 507 W. Second St.
The property has a duplex on it and in order to subdivide the property into two lots and have a shared wall between the duplexes, it must rezoned to R-1C.
The proposed use will remain the same, city staff said.
The Washington City Council must approve the planning commission’s recommendation.
