The Washington Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) restaurant was allowed to reopen Sunday morning at 10 a.m. after a successful inspection by Franklin County Health officials.
The county closed the store for 48 hours on Friday citing unsanitary conditions.
According to officials, the county has been working with store management after a small fire at the store Feb. 8.
The impromptu inspection following the incident found the cleanliness of the facility was not up to standards.
The Missourian will have more on this story in our Wednesday edition.
