German students from Washington’s Sister City Marbach am Neckar will visit in March.

The German students will be in Washington from Tuesday, March 20, through Tuesday, April 3. This summer, a group of Washington students will make the reverse trip and visit Marbach am Neckar in June.

This year is the 27th year of the Sister City student exchange visits.

The German students will visit Washington on their spring break and are expected to arrive late in the evening March 20. The students will meet with their host families and get settled in.

On their first full day, the students will visit Washington High School and tour a Washington firehouse.

On Friday, March 22, the students will have lunch at city hall with Mayor Sandy Lucy. The students then will be able to exercise at the Four River Area Family YMCA. The day will end with a diner at the Washington Fire Station headquarters.

The students also will visit St. Francis Borgia Regional High School, Forest Park, the St. Louis Art Museum and the St. Louis Zoo, weather permitting.

The group is scheduled to tour the St. Louis Arch Wednesday, March 28. That visit also will include stops at the Old Courthouse in St. Louis and a trip to the City Museum.

Thursday, March 29, will be the last day of scheduled activities. The German students will visit Sports Fusion in Chesterfield.

After that, the visitors will be able to spend time with their host families.

The students will leave Washington early on the morning of Tuesday, April 3, and head back to the airport.
