As of Tuesday, Washington police had taken 10 reports from residents in the area of Quail Run subdivision who said items were stolen from their vehicles last weekend.
Police said items taken from cars included GPS units, cellphones, small amounts of money, and jewelry.
Detective Sgt. Brad Erisman said all of the vehicles were unlocked. Most of the reports came from residents in the subdivision, but at least one report came from a resident of the nearby Southwinds development, he said.
It’s believed that the thefts occurred late Friday night, July 26, or early Saturday, July 27.
One resident reported seeing a possible suspect wearing a backpack walking in the subdivision about 6 a.m. Saturday.
Erisman said Tuesday that police have identified a possible suspect who may be brought in for questioning.
