Washington police said there are no signs of foul play in the death of a 49-year-old man who had been missing since Monday, June 24.
The body of John Harper was found about 11 a.m. Thursday a short time after police had issued a missing person bulletin.
The body was found in some weeds behind a detached garage at a home in the 900 block of East Sixth Street, according to police.
Investigators said Harper had been living in Kentucky and was staying with his brother at the Sixth Street home.
The brother found Harper's body and called police, according to Detective Sgt. Brad Erisman.
The body was transported to the St. Louis County Medical Examiner's Office, which will examine it to determine the cause of death, Erisman said.
