The Washington Area Chamber of Commerce expects close to 500 people to attend its annual dinner banquet this Saturday at the Knights of Colombus Hall.

The evening will begin with cocktails at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m.

The master of ceremonies will be Jennifer Giesike, Chamber president.

The Rev. George Dohm with St. Paul’s Church, Marthasville, will give the invocation.

Dr. Jon Bauer, board chair, will introduce Chamber board members and staff.

One of the highlights of the evening will be the presentation of the Washingtonian Award by the Missourian Publishing Co.

Al Behr, Washington Town and Country Fair chairman, will introduce Fair Board members and announce the big-name acts for this year’s Fair.

Kasey Wood, 2012 Fair Queen, will help Becky Stieffermann, queen committee chair, randomly draw this year’s queen sponsors. Stieffermann also will introduce committee members.

An auction to sell ads for the Fair catalog also will be held. Vince Borgerding will serve as the auctioneer.

The entertainment for the evening will be the band Dick and Jane. The dance will begin at about 9 p.m.
